Wheelabrator Hudson Falls

Wheelabrator Hudson Falls

The Wheelabrator Hudson Falls waste-to-energy facility provides environmentally safe and dependable disposal of everyday waste from homes and businesses in Washington and Warren counties. Each day, the facility converts up to 500 tons waste into a local fuel to generate 14 MW of clean, renewable electricity for sale to the local utility, creating a local-energy ecosystem and supplying enough power for the equivalent of 6,065 New York homes as well as its own operations.

Wheelabrator Hudson Falls has a strong commitment and track record for providing a safe and healthy environment for our neighbors to enjoy for years to come.

“Wheelabrator has been proactive in suggesting ways to reduce costs of operations and increase revenue, resulting in substantial savings for the counties. We welcome Wheelabrator as a fully-fledged member of the local business community.”
- Nick Caimano, Chairman of the Warren/Washington Counties Industrial Development Agency (WWIDA)
